Overview

Decorative and river rock give you a bed or border that doesn't break down the way bark does. No annual refresh, no fading, and it holds up under drainage flow where mulch would just wash away. We install both rounded river rock (smoother, more natural-looking) and angular crushed rock (sharper, more defined), sized and colored to fit the rest of your property rather than picked at random.

Rock beds nearly always go in over landscape fabric, which keeps the rock from slowly sinking into the soil and keeps weeds from pushing up through it over time. It's also one of the most functional choices for problem spots, including around downspouts, along drainage swales, or on slopes where mulch tends to erode, so it shows up often as part of a larger drainage improvement project and not just as decoration.
